Under direct supervision of the Branch Manager, the Circulation/Customer Service Supervisor leads and manages the daily operations and functions of the Circulation Department and Main Customer Service Desk in the system’s largest library branch. Also serves as lead operator for the automated materials handling system. Models exceptional customer service and empowers library staff to do the same.
Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Regular schedule requires day, evening, and weekend hours.
Under the general supervision of the Youth Services Supervisor, the Library Associate II provides high quality information, reader, and technology services to children (ages birth-11), families, and caregivers in the Elkton branch of the Cecil County Public Library while consistently delivering caring, non-judgmental customer service. This position plans and delivers a full range of diverse and innovative programs, services, and outreach initiatives to meet the needs of children (birth-11), families, and caregivers.

Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager, the Library Associate II provides high quality information, reader, and technology services to the community while consistently delivering caring, non-judgmental customer service. This position develops and delivers a full range of diverse and innovative programs, services, and outreach initiatives for adults and is responsible for performing and overseeing high-level research inquiries and initiatives. Positions available in the Perryville and Rising Sun Branches.
Under direct supervision of the Mobile Outreach Supervisor, the Library Associate II provides information services and reader’s advisory to children and families, focusing on early childhood, elementary, and tweens; develops and conducts library and reading related programs for children outside of library branches via the Bookmobile and other library outreach vehicles. This position focuses on the development of outreach and programming promoting the relationships between organizations serving children and community neighborhoods.
Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager, the Library Associate III-Business Specialist delivers a full range of effective and innovative research, information, materials, and services to prospective and established business owners and nonprofits.
