Under general supervision of the Youth Services Supervisor, the Library Associate II provides high quality information and reader services to teens (ages 12-18) in the North East community while consistently delivering caring, non-judgmental customer service. Develops and delivers a full range of diverse and innovative programs and services, including community outreach initiatives, for teens (ages 12-18). Manages and maintains dedicated teen room with study rooms, computer lab and collaborative technology station.

This position develops and delivers a full range of diverse and innovative programs, services, and outreach initiatives for adults and is responsible for performing and overseeing high-level research inquiries and initiatives.

Under direct supervision of the Mobile Outreach Supervisor, the Library Associate II provides information services and reader’s advisory to children and families, focusing on early childhood, elementary, and tweens; develops and conducts library and reading related programs for children outside of library branches via the Bookmobile and other library outreach vehicles. This position focuses on the development of outreach and programming promoting the relationships between organizations serving children and community neighborhoods.
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Branch Manager, the Library Associate I provides high quality information, reader, technology, and circulation services to patrons of all ages while working at the library’s public service desks. Consistently provides caring, non-judgmental customer service to all. Positions available in the Perryville and North East Branch Libraries.
