Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to engage with and support your library. Whether preparing materials for an upcoming program, setting up for a special event, or working with a young reader, there are numerous opportunities for adults and teens to get involved, to have fun, and to give back to your community.

Volunteer schedules are based on volunteer availability and current branch needs.

Please note: All volunteers age 55+ are asked to also enroll with our partners at Cecil County Department of Community Services’ AmeriCorps Seniors Volunteer Program.

Volunteering at the library starts with your application and an interview – all designed to help match you with the right volunteer opportunity.

Reading Buddies must be 18+.

Volunteers 55+ are asked to also enroll with our partners at Cecil County Department of Community Services’ AmeriCorps Seniors Volunteer Program.

Branch Buddies must be 18+.

Volunteers 55+ are asked to also enroll with our partners at Cecil County Department of Community Services’ AmeriCorps Seniors Volunteer Program.
