Program Description

Event Details

It's common knowledge how the 'space race' of the Apollo missions to the Moon played an important role in the Cold War between the US and the Soviet Union. Less well-known (and sometimes kept closely secret) was the role the early space shuttle played in geopolitics- from nuclear treaties to secret satellites to anti-spaceship lasers to a Soviet copycat and beyond. Program will be presented virtually by David Hitt from NASA Engages.
