Join author and Chesapeake Bay historian Kate Livie to explore the connection between spawning shad, the development of dams in our region for milling and power, and their modern impacts on the environment and the Bay's biodiversity. Hear the history of the Susquehanna and Conowingo Dam, as well as colonial shad wars and the rich, bygone culture created around the Chesapeake's first commercial fishery. Registration is required.
