Event Details

In coordination with the Early Women in Architecture exhibit at the North East Library, presenter Jillian Storms will focus on two women who had architecture projects in Harford, Cecil, and Kent Counties between the 1930s and 1960s. Victorine Du Pont Homsey designed over fourteen projects in Cecil and Kent County with her husband Samuel Homsey, including the Camp Rodney in North East. Poldi Rothenberg Hirsch had a prolific career as an architect, planner, and architect/builder. Over 25 modern structures still stand in Harford County, many in Havre de Grace where she lived.
