The Chesapeake City Branch Library will be temporarily closed for updates from Monday, December 1, 2025, through Saturday, January 3, 2026. Celebrate the start of Summer Reading with Christylez Bacon: GRAMMY nominated Progressive Hip-Hop artist who combines rhyming, storytelling and interactive call and response choruses with diverse instrumentation to deliver a message of cultural acceptance & unification blending traditional elements of musical styles from jazz to hip-hop.

While you are there, register for the Summer Reading & Learning Program and pick up a Summer Reading log.

Program may take place outside, weather permitting. Bring a blanket to sit on if it is moved outside.
