The Chesapeake City Branch Library will be temporarily closed for updates from Monday, December 1, 2025, through Saturday, January 3, 2026. Inspired by Leah Chase, the “Queen of Creole Cuisine,” work in groups in make Jambalaya and learn how Chase turned Dooky Chase’s Restaurant into a hub of the Civil Rights Movement. Grades 6-12.
