What is the Hour of Code?

Each December, Cecil County Public Library joins educators around the world to celebrate Computer Science Education Week by participating in the Hour of Code. Cecil County Public Library hosts a series of hands-on programs for children and teens providing an introduction to the basics of computer coding.

Why learn computer coding?

Computer science programs nurture problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity and prepare students for success in a 21st century world.

Hour of Code 2020

Activity to Go Kit - Visit the Cecilton, Chesapeake City, Elkton, Perryville, or Rising Sun Libraries to pick up a Binary Coding Beads Activity to Go Kit beginning Monday, December 7.

Online Program - Sign up to attend Coding with Scratch on Wednesday, December 9 at 4:00. Ages 9-17.
